13-Year-Old Charged In Child Porn Case

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- A 13-year-old Lacey boy who posted pictures of himself on the Internet was charged with possessing and dealing in child pornography.

A Thurston County deputy prosecutor, John Skinder, said the boy was charged Friday with possessing and dealing in depictions of a minor engaged in explicit behavior.

He was released to his parents while the case is pending. If convicted he faces up to 60 days in juvenile detention.

Possessing and dealing in child pornography?

Here you have a 13-year-old kid, posting a picture of himself on the Internet.

Did he really know what he was doing?

Does he consider himself a child?

In middle school, kids are now having sex; oral sex, heck I didn't know about this until I was married, and then it was my girlfriend that showed me! LOL

Seriously, a Middle School kid age range is from 12-15. Not truly innocent, but then again not all that bright as well. In this age group their hormones are raging wild, yet here this kid's life is ruin.

While the age of accountability (biblically) begins at 8 years of age, I really wonder how bright the kids of today really are?

A friend's son not yet in 1st grade attempted suicide. A 1st grader is so angry with his mother that he has attacked three separate teachers at school.

I wonder if this kid's prank? Should have been charged with

Possessing and dealing in child pornography?, because that is what we define it. But I recall a comic stripe of Dennis the Menace, I think that was the comic character, where his mouth was being washed out with soap for using profanity.

In the comic stripe Dennis says, something like this;
